Precision Ceramic Micro-Gravure Roller for Printing and Coating Machines Details

Micro-gravure coating is designed for applications where a conventional coating roller may transfer too much material or cannot maintain a sufficiently uniform coating thickness.

The AstraRoll Ceramic Micro-Gravure Roller uses precision-engraved cells to pick up and meter a controlled amount of ink, adhesive, resin, or functional coating before transferring it to the moving substrate.

Compared with conventional large-diameter gravure rolls, micro-gravure rollers typically use a smaller diameter and can operate in a reverse or kiss-contact configuration. This makes them particularly suitable for producing thin, smooth and highly controlled coating layers. The reference micro-gravure product specifically uses reverse kiss gravure coating and highlights thin, uniform coatings in electronics, optics, battery and related applications.

A ceramic working surface further improves wear resistance and provides a stable base for precision engraving, making the roller suitable for demanding continuous-production applications.
