Metal Roller Wheel

AstraRoll Metal Roller Wheel is manufactured from high-strength metal alloys, providing exceptional structural rigidity, heavy load capacity and outstanding wear resistance for the most demanding heavy‑duty industrial conveying applications. It maintains excellent dimensional stability under extreme pressure and high temperatures, resisting deformation, warping or damage even in harsh operating conditions. With high mechanical strength and rugged construction, it delivers reliable performance in abrasive, high‑stress environments where lightweight materials cannot perform. Its smooth, rigid surface ensures stable rotation and efficient power transmission, while the durable metal build offers long service life and minimal maintenance requirements. Ideal for heavy machinery, industrial conveyor systems and high‑load material processing, it provides consistent, dependable operation in challenging industrial settings.

Metal Roller Wheel FAQs

While metal wheels are naturally louder than rubber or PU, we reduce noise through precision machining to ensure high roundness, balanced rotation, and smooth bearing fit. We also offer micro-finish polishing on the tread surface and optional damping structures to lower vibration during rolling. For noise-sensitive areas, we can supply metal wheels with a thin PU or rubber ring insert to further reduce sound without losing load capacity.
We use high-strength forged or precision-cast steel instead of low-grade cast iron, which is brittle and prone to cracking under impact. Our wheels also undergo heat treatment to improve hardness and wear resistance, plus strict concentricity control to avoid uneven wear. Generic iron wheels often have porosity and weak spots, while AstraRoll wheels are built for continuous heavy-duty use.
All metals expand slightly under heat, but our steel and stainless steel wheels are dimensionally stable even at continuous high temperatures. We select materials with low thermal expansion coefficients so wheels maintain roundness and rolling stability in baking lines, ovens, and foundry environments without jamming or wobbling.
No. Metal has extremely high rigidity and resistance to creep. Unlike rubber, PU, or plastic, our steel and stainless steel wheels will not flatten, dent, or deform even under heavy static load for months. This makes them ideal for equipment that stands loaded for long periods.
Our carbon steel wheels can be safely welded under proper conditions. Stainless steel wheels require special welding processes. We do not recommend on-site modification to bearing bores or hub dimensions, as this can affect concentricity and strength. If you need changes, we can customize the wheel during production.
