PU Roller Wheel

AstraRoll PU Roller Wheel is constructed from high-performance polyurethane, offering exceptional durability, wear resistance and load-bearing capacity for heavy-duty industrial conveying and processing applications. It features excellent impact resistance, effectively absorbing shocks and vibrations to ensure stable operation under continuous and demanding working conditions. With low rolling resistance and high mechanical strength, it reduces friction and energy consumption while maintaining smooth and reliable rotation. The polyurethane surface provides outstanding grip and anti-slip performance, protecting delicate materials from scratches and ensuring stable material handling. It also exhibits strong resistance to oils, grease and mild chemicals, delivering long service life, low maintenance and consistent performance across various industrial machinery and conveyor systems.

PU Roller Wheel FAQs

Polyester PU has better wear resistance, oil resistance, and load capacity, making it ideal for indoor, dry, oil-exposed workshops and warehouses. Polyether PU has excellent hydrolysis resistance, meaning it does not soften or become sticky in wet, humid, or washdown environments. It is the better choice for food facilities, outdoor use, and high-moisture areas.
PU wheels perform well on concrete and paved outdoor surfaces. They absorb vibration better than nylon wheels and roll more smoothly on uneven ground. However, long-term exposure to strong UV radiation may cause surface cracking. For extended outdoor use, we recommend UV-stabilized polyether PU to resist aging and maintain elasticity.
Stickiness and peeling are usually caused by low-quality materials, poor core bonding, or hydrolysis in humid environments. Our PU wheels use high-temperature casting technology with professional adhesive treatment on the core, ensuring firm bonding that does not delaminate. Using the correct grade (polyether for wet environments) also prevents surface degradation and stickiness.
High-quality PU with good rebound resilience will not form permanent flat spots under normal static loads. Under extremely heavy long-term loading, slight temporary flattening may occur but will recover quickly once rolling begins. For long-term stationary equipment, we recommend high-density, high-hardness PU formulations.
Under normal working conditions, PU wheels last 3–5 times longer than natural rubber wheels. On smooth indoor floors, their service life is close to nylon wheels, but with far better floor protection and lower noise. On slightly rough ground, PU often outlasts nylon in overall usability due to better cushioning.
